Help on misfire in 3?
First of all, I have an 07 335xi. I changed my plugs a couple days ago (I was getting a yellow engine light at WOT above 3k RPM, and thought I'd start with changing the plugs), and now cylinder 3 is misfiring much worse, and I'm getting chugging and sputtering. First I tried switching the coil packs between 2 and 3, but the misfire stayed in 3. I'm attaching pictures of the new plug and the cylinder to see if that gunk near the bottom could be causing the problems, or if that oil wiped off the plug threads could be it. I'm still getting the yellow engine above 3k, but now I also get a SES, and the only code being thrown is still P0303. I also had a walnut shell blast about 3k miles ago, and engine is at 76k total.

if your plug is new and coil is fine it could be faulty oxygen sensor , faulty fuel injector or catalytic converter.. P0303 is the only code you have?

Yeah, for now, I only got it read at Advance. I guess I might have to take it to an indy to get the codes read and diag done. Dealership wants 260 just for diag. :\
