Ah Help! Terrible noise when shifting (MT)

Hey guys, I'm a bit worried about why I've developed a very noticeable noise that just appeared over the past day. Hoping you guys might have some input until I can get it checked out after the holiday weekend.

This past Friday, I had all my "lifetime" fluids (transmission fluid, transfer case fluid, and diff fluids) flushed and changed since I just hit 60K miles. This was all done by a professional BMW shop that I have a lot of confidence in. They used all OEM fluids, and did reset the wear sensor for the transfer case fluid. Well, after picking up my car and driving home Friday and driving around yesterday, I started hearing a pretty bad sound when shifting my car. Before this, I had nothing at all like what's developed

The best I can describe it is when upshifting (and sometimes downshifting), when I let out the clutch to engage the new gear, there's a sound that's similar to when you drive over a patch of sand or gravel and your tires picks up pebbles and throw them into your fender well, only in the center of the car. It's a bunch of chattering and clunking for about 1 second. There's kind of a warbling as well, which the video picks up a lot better than the loud clicking/clunking I described.

Here's a video I took today of the sound:

The noise seems a lot more prevalent when shifting from low speed (thus 1st>2nd, 2nd>3rd, and back down). At highway speeds (using 4th and 5th gear), I don't really hear it. Also, I don't really *feel* anything wrong while driving the car, but the noise just sounds terrible like there are broken parts rattling around right after the clutch engages.

Any ideas? Help please!

That sounds awful. I don't know what that is I never experienced that in any manual vehicle. My e90 shifter bushing is getting a little play in it but no noises come from that its just play with gears.

Weird symptom for sure. Have you tried googling your symptom? I would call the place that changed your fluids and let them know.if you can't feel anything driving wise it seems as though its something loose on the shifter assembly? Just throwing ideas around.

Yea, I'm going to have it flat-bedded to the shop on Tuesday. I've never had a MT make this kind of noise before. Hoping for a non-catastrophic outcome...
