IT'S CALLED "STANCE" or "STANCING".

Started out with JDM crowd but has since caught on with all brands and makes.
You can look at more of the stance cars on stancenation.com

Its more for looks than anything. Low and slow.

I think we all know what its called. Question is why, it doesnt look good. Looks like a spaceship. When i drove by it yesterday, any car passing by was laughing and shaking their head like wtf?

A couple of my friends are into stanced cars; they have tried to tell me I should do that to my 535i...
I don't understand the point either - hell, my own friends that like it can't even explain the point of stancing cars like that.
Why would I make a twin turbo Bimmer "low and slow"? If that were my goal I would have bought some cheap $3000 rice rocket that I don't care about scraping up and turning into a rolling hunk of steel junk.

Hmm...maybe if my kids piss me off in the future I'll buy them one of those things stanced above in the picture by the OP. That'll teach em a lesson!

That car is totally a mobile back yard bbq fun machine. You can play ring toss in the back with that tailpipe and cornhole in the front with that sideways tow hook.

I don't know whats more retarded: the actual stance, or the bumper stickers and culture that go along with it.

Tire wear would be a problem.

How does the torque get transferred to the wheel? Extra CV joint?
