So this BMW was sold as a lease at Prestige bmw in NJ 2011 and has been serviced there it whole life (Says CarFAx). I am a bit skeptical about them selling the car to the auction house after the lease was finished and a non Bmw dealer bought the car in February. Now why wouldn't prestige bmw just keep the car for CPO it had a clean carfax and they know all the serviving the car went through because they serviced it. It just raises a red flag for me.

Please tell me what you guys think,

They were probably just trying to get rid of overstock? I imagine there might not have been rooom for it maybe?

What makes you think they only send wrecked/pos cars to auction? The type of auctions these cars go to aren't your everyday po dunk auction, it's dealer only! If no one shows interest in the car after some time they send it to the auction block. Trust me I go to Manheim auctions all the time. He'll I just bought two almost brand new cars (one with 4k miles & the other with 8) just last week. It's just the way the used car market works. Most lease return or repossed cars go straight to the auction when returned, the dealer could give a shit less about the car.


I don't see any red flags just make sure to get the car checked out via ppi and you will know for sure. I wish I had newish bmw for my first car! FirstWorldProblems

Thanks e92 and drilla for your comments!! Going to check the car out with my dad tomorrow he has been working on bmw's for a while now so he should be able to notice if somthings wrong. He repaired my older sisters 07 335xi numerous times (Money pit...)

So as it turned out i was unable to come across a deal today the dealer just charged way to much over their online asking price of $24,451 and they wanted $30,000 with all the extra "fees" it was a bit of false advertisement(made a long story short but it pretty much went out like that)
