Roundel ripped off...

So the day was going great. Just got done doing the Houston Performance Driving- South Coast Fun Run and I stopped to get a bite to eat. And after I got out I looked at the front of the car to see the death toll of love bugs and the roundel was there. So my wife comes and meets me at the restaurant and as she is coming in she noticed it. It definitely happened there. Some punk In a S2000 was hauling ass in the parking lot when I was walking In and I shook my head so I'm assuming it had to do with that. No biggie just the principal of it. I think it's so low for someone to take their anger out on someone's vehicle. Just venting sorry.

People are stupid and jealous. Don't sweat it as long as the hood isn't scratched

Lol that's her daily right now so she's been eliminated from the line up and yeah no scratches. The sad thing, it was a bunch of car guys coming back from the cruise.

My hood emblew just randomly flew off on the highway like 8 months ago.

Def sucks that people feel the need to mess with "nice cars" for whatever reason.

People have that mentally of "oh this guy must think he is so cool with his BMW... well watch this..." ... some people are just idiots, and unfortunately we will always have to deal with them.

I guess look on the bright side and at least they didn't key it...

I feel your pain, someone stole my emblem when I was parked at Home Depot. At least the replacement isn't too expensive.

I tried getting mine off and it took a while. Don't know how thieves get them off so easily. You should look at it as almost like a community service - you helped some poor soul get as close to BMW ownership as they will likely ever get.

Well it seems as though they only ripped off the top part of it. There is still the glue on the silver backing. But oh well I just ordered the black ones today. And I used to like the S2000.

Same thing happened to me last year. My roundel was on my hood when I entered my vehicle in the morning. Did not check to see if my roundel was still intact upon me exiting the vehicle. I came out to my vehicle during lunch and my roundel was gone.

I also thought someone ripped it off. But the glue residue and the silver backing was still on the hood. After some googling, I found out that the BMW logo overtime, due to the exposure of weather elements (rain, snow, heat, & etc) the glue looses its adhesiveness, therefore the roundel can fly off easily when driving.

I think if someone wanted to steal your roundel, they would've stole the whole piece;silver backing included.

Man I know it wasn't missing when I went into the restaurant because I took a look at the car as I was walking inside to see what the bug damage was cause I just spent a couple hours detailing the car that morning. Maybe it was sticking up and made someone want to grab it. I hope he at least cut himself trying to get it.

Hahahhaa. If someone did take it, I really hope he injured himself during the process. I just want to think that my logo flew off by itself. Because just thinking that someone from my work can possibly do something like that, makes me pretty angry.

I'm sure your new roundel will look 1000x better.
