Ticking in dash?
Just wondering if anyone has experienced this issue, and if so was able to determine the case. Tonight when I was driving I noticed a faint ticking sound coming from behind my dash when the ac fan was running. When I turned off the blower the sound went away, the ticking was more fait when the system was on ac mode vs heat. I know the fan is located behind the glove box, but this sound seemed to originate somewhere below the vent cover in the middle of the dash. Any ideas?

There is a tiny fan on the A/C control unit inside. I had read in the previous models this fan used to make noise by age. Try to listen if the noise is coming from that area where the A/C control knobs are.
It blows air to some air temperature sensor, to get better reading or something like that.... has to be complicated like that since it is German over engineered :P |

Hmm, that tiny control fan sounds like it could be the culprit, seems like the general location you described is where the noise is coming from. Gotta love the Germans

Mine ticked for about a month or two, then the blower control module crapped out one day. I was able to replace it without removing the blower though, so not too bad.
