Top speed
Hey guys just want to know and see how fast you guys have gone in your bimmers. Fastest I went in my non sport e90 was 125. Pretty sure the computer limits it at 130

N52, N55, N54 don't have shit to do with have fast you can go. It all depends if you have sports package because that gives you tires that are designed to go 160+. The speed limiter itself is set at 130 for non-zsp and 155 for zsp.

169mph according to my gps. That was on tires rated for no higher than 135. I wasn't looking at the speedometer at the time.

I know this thread is being bashed and all but I'm curious, has anyone actually taken their car to somewhere or some course for top speed runs? What'd they hit? I know they aren't Ferrari's and going over 200mph but its what we own so i'm curious. I know my Cobb says the 155 limiter is removed and max gearing is like 196.xx just curious if anyone has done that safely somewhere or come close. Not a dipshit on the highway.

More like another enthusiast thread. You honestly can't say your an enthusiast unless you've been fast. If most people here didn't care about speed or sportiness they probably wouldn't be driving bimmers.
I've hit the 155 speed limiter in my 535i multiple times. Looking forward to getting my 335i up there too! If anyone is going to be at the drag racing for TX2K14 you'll see me there hopefully! I guess I'm just another "crazy" 17 year old. Oh well - at least I'm not a boring 40 year old who lost his sense for fun!

Lol thanks. I like to make sarcastic posts when I don't like what others say. I thought his comment about it being another 17 year olds thread was unnecessary. I don't mind off-topic posts that are humorous/joking but his comment is not funny - and probably more immature than the thread itself.
Mostly because many other people & myself are older than 17 yet still enjoy the thrill of speed. Of course I only go that fast when it is both legal & reasonably safe. There are risks associated with everything - including driving the speed limit - so why not go to a track/strip and have a little fun? My point was, I don't see whats wrong or immature with a thread that asks how fast people have driven in their bimmers. You had an 07 335i and a 2011 335i; don't even try to tell me you haven't been at least 100+ in either of those cars.
