what's goin on here...?

Hey guys, so I recently got a '11 328i xdrive 6-spd with ~19k mi on the odo. She drives fine, except this one thing...i don't know if it's my driving or if it's the car but sometimes when i'm rolling in 2nd gear (cruisin in a parking lot, stop and go traffic, etc) it jerks back and forth slightly, a shimmy of sorts? hah, i don't know...
and i'm pretty certain i'm not bogging the engine...any thoughts? maybe it is my driving?

You mean like you're rolling in 2nd and you give it a little throttle then you let off then jt does it while the RPMs are settling down? I have had it happen. Just assumed I gave it too much throttle for how fast I was going. Maybe its not the same issue as you. If you have more details to describe or a video that'd be great.

It's just the play in the driveline (transmission, differentials.) Not to worry.

it happens when i shift into second (not giving much throttle, if any at all). I'll try and get a video up.

It almost sounds like what would happen if you gave it a little too much gas while shifting into 2nd. /shrug

I think that's called lugging

I think that's called lugging
Which means you have it in to high a gear for the RPM's
your running at.
Try higher rpm's before shifting .
