I believe that has something to do with the ecm, engine control module.

Garage List
2008 BMW 135i  [9.50]
2006 330i  [6.75]
Possible causes:
- Weak battery- Low voltage while cranking. Start by testing your battery before anything else.
- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM) relay
- Blown ECM fuse
- Faulty ECM
- ECM harness is open or shorted
- ECM circuit poor electrical connection

Good luck and keep us posted. Cheers!

Am I missing something here? You should be under warranty still.

Did you register the new battery to the car? Also possibly the eccentric shaft sensor.

When you install a new battery, it needs to be coded to charge correctly and efficiently.

How many miles? You are covered under a factory 4 year / 50,000 mile warranty. You are good on the years and if you are under the 50,000 mile limit get in to the dealer and get this fixed for free.
