High pressure pump question...
Yello. Purchased 2010 335xi recently knowing that the HPFP was recalled. I was ensured that this particular vehicle had no issues based on Carfax, etc. Come to find out that the pump was replaced at 6,000 mi, and once again at 29,000. Now has 37,000 mi and driving well. I hear the initial replacements used for the recall were janky and supposedly, the newer pumps are holding up.
That all being said, anybody have this "new" HPFP installed, and if so, has it held up. I know BMW extended the warranty to 120,000 or 10 yr, but don't wanna deal with having it poop out again. Thanks. PS. NOOOB. |

I have an 07 335i sedan.
Pump according BMW records was changed in June 2010 at approx 50k km. Now at 93 and no issues. I did confirm it was the latest Part number. Luckily my turbos have never had issues either. (knock on wood). DN |
