lurching

For the past 2 weeks or so this has happened on occasion. I'll be driving down the road, usually at highway speeds, when all of the sudden the car seems to have an increase in power momentarily, then things are back to normal right away. Today it happened while I was sitting at a stoplight so I am assuming its getting worse.

Is this symptom of a misfire? I am not getting any lights or warnings on the dash. Perhaps a coil going bad?

Any suggestions?

TIA

edit: is happening with A/C both on & off

edit #2: car has a little over 90K & I already replaced plugs a few months ago

Try getting it scanned first.
See what codes come up.

But guessing throttle pos sensor.
Could be wrong.

Thanks. Do you think AutoZone would be able to help me out with their generic code readers or am I going to need to take it to my local trusted Indy Shop?
