Is my car running too hot?
It is 91 degrees out and i was driving it hard, Just want to know is this too hot? I've considered upgrading my oil cooler (i do not have a retrofitted one yet, early 2007 e92) Car is tuned on Jb4 G5 running map 2.

Not too hot under the conditions you described. Under normal driving conditions then I would say yes.

Interesting. Phx, AZ area here, mine stays a tick under 210 when warmed up, never has it gone past the middle. Bone stock setup though. Better oil cooler?

That's too high IMO. I have an oil cooler but mine never passes 210. Even when I had my 07' 335i without an oil cooler it would only slightly pass 210 to around 220-230 under hard driving. Your outisde temp thermostat is only reading 91 which isn't warm.

Well if your car now has an oil cooler then it doesnt compare, and your 07 335i MIGHT have had an oil cooler, also was it tuned? Im running 14.5PSI per turbo as compared to around 6 stock

I hit 240 degrees in traffic conditions lately in 60-70 degree weather. Tuned stage 1 Cobb, but not pushing hard. Cools down to 230ish once traffic lets up and I can drive normally.

My 2007 (no oil cooler, no tune) has always run at 240, and climbs to 250/60 if I drive it hard.

I got a little over the middle (250) after a few 12 psi pulls in 97f ambient temps today. 1-2k miles on German Castrol 0-30. 03/07 with factory oil cooler.
