Bugs so far with iphone and android

My iPhone, which I use for music, pandora and iheart radio worked great plugged into the usb port in the center console for a day, but now won't hold a charge and won't connect. tried two different cables. Should iphone be locked or unlocked?

my cell is a Galaxy Note 3. Every time I get in car it ask permission to load contacts. Sometimes they load, sometimes they don't. never sticks. I thought it might be too many contacts so i pared the list down to 83.

DVD in Motion does work and videos in several formats works with a usb stick.

bmw has always been shitty when it comes to mobile interface...you should try to speak to your dealer, since it worked for the first time with the iphone, and on and off with the samsung. Might just require a firmware reinstall on the car...

DVD shouldn't work when on the move, so that's a "bonus"...lol!

Have you updated to the latest firmware? That may help since the Note 3 is fairly new. It is not the number of contacts because I have more than that and no longer have any problems. But I DID. I had trouble with contacts with iPhone and Android and thought it might be a problem with either duplicates, odd characters or some such anomaly. I cleaned up all duplicates, deleted contacts I don't use or were incomplete. When I was done, I had pared down to about 100 and it works perfectly.

I did the same and now seems to be working okay. I do have the latest firmware
