Finally placed an order!

After 5 months, finally came up with a 228i build I was happy with.
Placed an order this past weekend and already have a production number. Should take delivery in late June or early July.

Alpine While
Black SensaTec
Silver Matte Trim
Driver Assistance
Lighting Package
Style 385 Wheels
Heated Front Seats
Power Front Seats
Antitheft Alarm

The long wait and obsessive calling of the 800 number began already!

Save this in your contacts and replace the X with your production number:

1 (800) 831-1117,2,,,X,1

You can 1-touch dial, will save you a ton of time.

The 800 number status changed today to, "Your vehicle is in production, with an estimated completion date of June 3rd."

Good to see things moving along!

Today the ol' 800# changed to, "Your vehicle is being assembled, with an estimated completion date of June 3rd." Which is today.

Hope to be on a boat by next week...

As of this morning, assembly completed and released to carrier. Waiting for transport to the exit port.

The ELEKTRA is leaving Bremerhaven today. I'm sure I'll miss that one.
Next up is the AIDA, scheduled to depart on 6/10. Hopefully I'll be on that one.

AW M235i - Still Waiting...

Hey All,

I started the ordering process for my m235i last week of April 2014. I received a production number on May 5th. Even tried calling the number on this thread and it says I have a production number with no production date....argh. I'm in the midwest area, went to four different dealers before I was able to knock off $2500 off MSRP, got an additional $1,000 from the June Incentive offered and in process of getting either a $350 credit for the HK website discrepancy. I'm going to try to talk to BMWUSA and have them try to throw in the HK for free bc, in all honesty I would have opted for the Performance Interior package to match my race wheel. I was told 6-8 weeks, and now I'm at week 5 with no real estimated delivery date. Guess my question to you all is how would you escalate this issue? I've seen now people on the forum say they just placed the order and already have estimates for delivery. Also this is my first post, but it won't let me create a new thread, so please forgive, not trying to take over this thread.

Thanks

My Specs:

6MT
Alpine White
Black Leather
Premium Package
Heated Seats
HK
Front Splitter
M Performance Exhaust
Rear Diffuser
Black Kidney Grills
Race Steering Wheel w/ Display

Hey sorry to hear, im order my car late April and only got a production date in late June. a lot of people are in the same boat as you with no date. i would say talk to your CA and get a status update and see if they even had an allocation for you. your CA will have the most current information

Hey, I'm pretty sure the fact he has a production number is evidence his dealer did have an allocation. But yeah, when I call the 1800 number or check production status online, I still get the same message saying that my order has been accepted with no confirmed production date yet. It's only when I talked to someone when calling the 1800 number that I found out I was scheduled for the 25th week of production, and then when I called again was told that production would start any day now. My CA hasn't been very helpful though, and I'm guessing when you talk to someone by calling the 1800 number that they're looking at the same info a dealer has access to.

What dealer did you end up going with?

There are no real escalation steps... if you have a valid production number then that means you have an allocation, most likely for this month (last build month) and maybe even the last week. I was listening to "Scheduled for production with no confirmed production date yet" for about 3 weeks before it actually went into production.

I was in that same state for almost 2 weeks, so I don't think it's abnormal. Right now I'm "at the port of exit waiting for a shipping vessel" since Friday.

Looks like I got aboard the AIDA. Left port yesterday, currently en route to Sweden, then Southampton (I think), before heading to the US.

Anyone else on the AIDA?

Any way of checking the VINS on AIDA? I think I might be on there.

Go here: https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/o...uickSearchPage

Enter the last 7 characters of your VIN preceded by a % in the Cargo ID field and click "Track."
Example: %1234567

To see all the 228's in their system, enter WBA1F5C5% in the Cargo ID field.
To see all the M235's in their system, enter WBA1J7C5% in the Cargo ID field.
Those only work for 2014 models; the model code (the four characters after WBA) changes for 2015.
