135i wheels on M235i Fail lol

Getting my stock wheels painted for now. I would have liked aftermarket wheels but until there's a few sets out there fitting well I thought I'd wait.

Instead of the car laying around on jack stands I thought I'd put the spare 135i wheels on it. Backs fit well, but the fronts were a big Fail!!
They hit the caliper before even getting the nuts done up, consequently chipping a bit of paint of one of my calipers grrrrr..
Anyways since it's the wheel section thought I'd post my findings, I'm sure there's heaps of you saying " well yeah, didn't you know this " haha ohwell..

Good to know, everything I've been told by the pros said anything for 135 should fit fine. You know the wheel specs by chance?

were they OEM 135 wheels? Probably would fit a 228i with the smaller brakes.

It was worth a shot. Love how so many car guys are really into the wheels, and spending such big money for them. I use to hang around an after hours performance/wheel shop 10 years back and watch as guys would roll up and drop anywhere from $5K -$15K for a set of wheels. Interesting enough they always paid in cash

Good tires is all I really care about. Can't see the wheels when I racing through the curves...

+1 I've never been a big "upgrade guy" aside from some little cosmetic stuff, to each their own though. Just hoping whatever winters I go with actually fit when they show up!

This sucks to hear. So this means my Sport Edition KM11 winter tires won't fit. Dammit.

Yes, was looking for old wheel specs. Short of having a guaranteed "fit list" at least we can start crossing off what won't work.

I was planning on doing the same with my KM11s.

I'm holding out hope that this is a case-by-case basis and that the front KM11s will fit, perhaps due to the shape and curvature of the spokes.

Me too. Car should be here in June. I will test fit the KM11's soon. Going to need head time to save up for new wheels and tires now come fall if they don't' fit.

Just FYI I specifically asked tire rack about KM11 and they said they would fit, even a 17". The fact that they said the 17" would fit honestly leads me to question their information even more because I cannot imagine it would actually work. I would be more inclined to believe them if they said 18" ok 17" no way. So take that information for what it's worth. If you already own them though no reason not to try and see before getting something else. If you do a test fit please let us know.

I was told by both tire rack and Enkei themselves that the Raijin will work. Not sure if that's your style but at least we have info from 2 sources that it should work, and they take BMW center caps. Also supposed to be a high quality wheel.

They will probably fit if you run spacers. Any idea what the offset on the 135 wheels is? Any rims will fit if it's the right diameter, bolt pattern, and offset.
