Yes that was published before. What we don't have is the ability to change the settings or tune it. That is supposedly done automatically.

uhhh not exactly. haven't seen the stack listed or verified with any precision on this thread

agree on your last statement re: the equalizer.

however, the specs and placement within the car has been a swirl regarding inclusion of amp, # of speakers, types, and on every thread.

I have never heard the 2 series HK, nor even the standard system... the question is... how good does it sound? and why only 360 watts vs 600 watts of the other HK systems?

Well, on my 128 it was a 300 watt system , 10 speaker so the 360 watt, 12 speaker is certainly a upgrade. System sounds great.

The one that always gets me is since when are dealer offered sound systems upgrades considered good value? They are something you get because you want to be baller lol.

I like my HK system. Everyone knows that 80% of the price goes into the 2 logos on the doors...

I can respond 100 different ways. What I'm choosing to share is that for the last week i've been in a rental, a Chevy, because a doctor in another bimmer backed into me. The sound system in the Chevy puts The stock sound system in my three series 2 absolute shame.

I have the HK system in my 335is (the one that cost me $875 but included almost double the power and four extra speakers). My response was in regard to L7 surround sound processing. With it on or with it off, I never hear a shred of difference in music. L7 processing included in the 2 series HK offering is nothing to really be excited about.

I don't know what 3 series you have and the base stereo changes from model to model, year to year, so the base on a 2007 328i might have been decent and then got really crappy after the LCI (just as an example that may not be true in this case).

As a reminder, they will be cutting the costs for the 12 speaker setup in the 2 series, and that anyone who has already bought it at the current price can get a refund for the difference.

For what it is worth, and with me not being an audiophile, having heard the 2 series HK.. I have to say it sounds amazing, tuneable or not. I will be able to compare that with my car which does not have HK and make a determination. I never batted my eye at an upgraded sound system when placing my order because, again, I am usually OK with stock audio implementations.

I was very impressed, and I have the bmw individual sound system in my unit. My has a full EQ, the 2 system did not, but it still sounded better.

I find the low end on the HK to be lacking. Will most likely add a sub at some point.

It lacks the 7 band eq available on the 3s and up. Just treble and bass.

You are a fountain of misinformation.
It's not true that anyone who bought at the current price can get a refund for the difference.
What is true is that The web content master posted incorrect specs. Only those who purchase it until the time at which they corrected it on the web are entitled to a refund of the difference. It was only a limited time and their exposure was only to a limited number of people. After they fixed it, there is then no business reason or customer service reason to refund the difference.

Secondly you're stating they will cut the cost at some point, perhaps in 2015 model. However you have absolutely no proof and you're just spinning up rumors. You're stating this as a reminder as if this is fact. The only fact is that The cost has been 875 for several different models and sizes and with several different configurations for a couple of years at least.

I apologize if I sound like I'm all up in your stuff here, it's just that there are people that spin up rumors here, and it just throws everybody off, creates stress, and unnecessary challenging discussions with our clients advisors.
