Bought a new car (in fact 2)

I drive currently a E61 545i Touring and we have a Mini Cooper S Works for my wife. After almost three years happy driving the Works my wife wanted a bigger car and I wanted -afer 1,5 years a smaller one.

So yesterday I ordered a 325i Touring for my wife and for myself a 130i. Both Monaco blue, black leather and full option. Delivery about week 2006/09.

Frankly, speaking can't wait for the 130i... awsome car.

130 is supposed to be a pocket rocket with 195kw from the new n52 engine. 5kw more than the 330.

all the best. you will love both cars.

I've always thought the Mini Cooper-S would be an incredibly fun car to own. Was the car just too small to be practical or did your wife just feel a little claustrophobic in it?

the Mini is very fun to drive but with two kids it is just too small, besides the Bimmer is much more mature.

here some pics of the mini:

I was fed up with big cars (i.e 545iT); they are just not involving. Th e130i with Active Front Steering definitely is.

the 130i reminds me also of the VW GTI's and VR6's I drove 15 years ago. Awesome fun.

For me the 130i is no too girly, I understand your point but if you ever get the opportunity to drive one we speak again ;-)
