Dealership arrival?
Anybody know when these will start hitting the dealerships? I'm starting to become intrigued by these. My dealer is pressuring me to do an early lease turn in...Hmmmm
Anybody else on fence between this and an X3? |

Visited the Welt while on vacation and I absolutely love the X4. Pre-production 35D model was on the floor in Blue. I like that the Nav Screen is built into the dash like my 335D. Comparing the difference between the X3 and X4. If you don't mind a small rearview sight reduction then you will like the X4. It has an amazing external presence about it. I just couldn't pull myself away from it and kept asking questions about it from the Welt technical information staff. Even with the new M3/M4 display I kept going back to the X4. There is something about it. Inside it felt identical to my D but had road clearance.

I am on the fence too between X3, X4 and 3GT.
3GT has the most space in the back. X3 has the bigger trunk. X4 has the cooler looks (IMHO). If I can fit three child seats in the back of an X4, and the lease budget can let me pick the Xenons and SatNav we have a winner. |

I think the GT makes a lot of sense in certain situations. The overall capacity inside is ginormous. Personally, I'd be inclined to go that route but for me the back half of the car just doesn't work for me....at all. Inside, and front end..great. I can see for a family it would be a solid choice, though.
I saw the X4 at the NY auto show, it did look nice. My only concern is it looked like a jacked up GT almost. I didn't think that it carried the height well...but maybe just the color and the lighting? The X6, with it's extra width, seems more substantial and better executed. I'm leaning more towards the X3 M-Sport at the moment. I'm been in a car for the last 6-7 years. I'd like to try something different. Plus I can haul a bit more in the X3. I'm still toying with Jeep GC but I'm afraid of going off brand (as the dealer says). I think I'll miss the handling in about 1 month...lol. Decisions, decisions.... |

Well, company lease lasts 4 years.
Got a 2y old and a newborn. The car has to be ready to hold a potential third child in these 4 years, but it won't last until they grow up significantly... Do you think it will do? |

X4 looks great on the exterior, loses out to the X3 in rear headroom and boot space.
I'd be leaning more towards the X3 for practicality as a small-family crossover. |

Thank you for your file, excellent timing. I send it this morning to my dealer, as I was meeting him at midday for lunch. He confirmed me that your document is correct. June for the 28i and July for the 35i are the beginning production of customers car. What has been produced since April and during may are the demo cars for Dealerships. He confirmed me that mine will be build 1st week of July with delivery here in Switzerland week 32. To this I said "but how many days do you need to build the car?" to this he replied "3 hours".... That's insane! So I will be one of the first delivered X4 35i M here in Switzerland Oh one more thing: If I would have waited until today to give my order, delivery would have been December 2014! |

the 4 seats can only hold 4 passengers as a family. this is a design for sporty 1-2 kids family or single individual. practical SUV are X3 and X5. We have 1 kid and this is a perfect fit for future upgrade. The price is steep for a built one so we'll wait for a CPO.
