performance grills

Just put in grills in alpine white 235. Looks good, if you plan to do yourself, have plenty of band-aids and one tourniquet close by. Have been looking at alternatives for the mirror caps. on line carbon fiber 156.00, vinyl wrap 125.00, paint 100.00 and plastic dip 125. Seems like no brainer to get the CF caps.

I installed the black grills as well. I've got the CF mirror caps ordered, unfortunately shipping is very slow as they are coming from Hong Kong. I'll post pics when I install them.

Your prices seem all out of whack, where are you getting them? USD? eBay CF covers are right $150-200, vinyl wrap should be in the $50-60 range but apparently hasn't been holding up well. Paint originals should be $50-75. Plastidip is like $5.

I am in Raleigh NC. I have only found one place that does plastidip and I do not feel they want to do a small job, same thing with vinyl, they all are trying to make the most money they can. Do you know if we can get the caps from BMW? I know the performance caps are costly but I see a photo of a 220d with white caps and wonder if it is possible to get through BMW

Damn, people living in Raleigh could afford a 235? I read my college at NC State. I usually went to downtown to mod my car and sometimes it cost as low as 8 bucks for paint work.

If you ship your caps to IND they will paint them for you, otherwise you can order new OEM caps painted to match for under $200 and sell your originals to offset the price.

+1 on plastidip though there is no reason not to at least try it yourself, it peels off if you don't like it.

Seriously, I would let my 2 year old niece do it. Take the cap off, super easy. Spray it. If you don't like it the plast dip literally peels right off. There is zero reason not to try it, paying someone $125 to do it for you is beyond ridiculous.
