Oyster with black carpet is nice. Oyster with light carpet on M235 is bad. Nice combo.

The Modern Line is supposed to be available only overseas but when I went to order the car in the dealer trying to get black/oyster interior, the dealer codes kept coming up all Oyster so they entered Modern Line code and I get the Oyster/Black interior, I was able to get the 18 inch tires, the silver grille, silver around where the fog lights are, silver in the back near the bumper, silver Modern Line written on the running boards, silver Modern Line insignias on the side. I traded in a black 328i with the black/oyster and wanted the 2 to be similar.

My 228i is onboard the Lyra Leader, currently off the coast of Mexico between Acapulco and Puerto Vallarta. I strongly suspect that it's too late for me!!!!!

I really wanted Deep Sea Blue which to me hands down is the most gorgeous color on a 228i but there was a 650i in the dealership in DSB with some crazy light on it which made it look like the old Lemans blue so I went with black and then I saw somebody's post of a Deep Sea Blue 2 series and it was the greatest color I ever saw.

Looks great, Jet Black remains my second favorite BMW color, only beat by Imola red. Our 135i was Jet Black and my M Coupe (which is now in Delaware) was Imola.
Enjoy! |

Uber nice! I've got a M235 with oyster interior due any day. BUT its all oyster, yours looks much better with blk/oyster interior. IDK why BMW went with solid oyster on the 235 variant.
Congrats! |

I actually like my new 228i better than the previous 2011 328i coupe. The 328i drove nice but I always felt it was like driving a Buick in that the car was large but I didn't feel that I had the fun and control that I now have with the 2 series. I feel like goldilocks in that the 128i was too small and the 328i was too big and the 228i is just right! The 228i is much more technologically advanced in the door locks, automatic shifter, various driving modes, iDrive, dashboard, center stack etc. I ordered ambient lighting. The previous car had it on the inside doors. I have no idea where it is on the 228i. It was something that was listed in the order and in the manual. Anybody know where it is?
