P0128 Code After T-stat Water Pump Replacement
I just replaced my thermostat and water pump on my e90 and I am getting a P0128 SES light. What else could be wrong with the system to cause this condition? Is there a temp sensor somewhere that could be bad? With the new pump and t-stat I also flushed the system and used OEM BMW blue coolant.

Did you have the light before the replacement? P0128 is almost exclusively a thermostat fault.

I got the exact same thing after spending a grand for the two being replaced. Dealer says come on back in and we'll take more of your money to see what they did wrong.
Never had the code before the two were changed. Also had an engine wash done and had suspicion that this could cause electrical issues as I also had a non-cooling related code appear and not returned after clearing. Any additional comments? Thanks, JT |
