Retrofit carbon ceramic brakes later?

I am going back and forth between getting CCB and the regular Brakes. Are they something that can be added at the dealer later

In theory, they could, but the expense will be far more than the $8500 option price. The master cylinders are unique, and it's possible the ABS unit is also unique. Either order them on the car or go with a BBK that's designed around the OEM brake pressures.

Having stock breaks it is more reasonable to get the BBK, rather than CCB.
If stock breaks will be not enough I will go this way.
But still the standarb breaks are good and much better than on e92m3, plus the weight of the car is a bit less, so they should be OK with race pads.

guy did this retrofit on the M5 and it cost less than the CCB cost to buy new.

I thought your car already had CCBs on; not for your car I assume.

bump

pricing seems reasonable here

ideally you'd want to remove these when you sell the car, but is there a market for used ceramics to actually get some money back on them?

after reading about CCB i personally see no logic in adding them later. seems to me BBK is a better option, especially if theres any chance you'll be tracking your vehicle.
