Taking delivery at another dealer...
I'm getting more and more worried about the dealership I ordered my car through. The salesperson has been clueless about what stage my car has been in the process. Today I contacted him about when the estimated pick up date for me was so that I could be prepared, and he responded that my car wasn't even on a boat yet. In reality my car completed production at the end of March and was loaded onto a boat (the Lyra Leader) on APRIL 2. That's according to 2 different reps at the BMWNA 800 number.
Is it possible to take delivery at another dealership??? I'm worried about these guys screwing something up. |

The journey across the Atlantic takes 16 days and then 2-3 days at the VPC and then the delivery to the dealer would add another couple of days. So you are looking at least 21 days from when it was "loaded onto a boat". Add that to the April 2nd date the rep gave you.

I know that, I was hoping to see if he had more firm data than me In fact when I suggested it would probably be between May 4-6 he was bewildered. Has been working for this dealership for 10+ years. SMH.
