Nice. We need more "pay it forward" in the diesel community.

I'll be coming to Chicago in early May to visit my daughter. Does anyone know what the dealerships think of such of mod? Are they going to get cranky? I'm still under warranty: I have 25 more months and 19k miles to go.

It basically depends on what they have to do. Ive taken my car into the dealership(braman bmw) about three times for misc things, bulbs, CUPholders, and a stuck hood. Im sure they saw a big black can with a hose running and they didnt seem to mind. Now im sure if they had to remove my airbox or intake relation. IE manifold, intake, cylinder head they would probably be annoyed and even void mine. Im taking the risk of extending my warranty from 4/50k to 7/100k with the can installed. Im trying to make my setup easy to remove and re install. SO in case i expect to get flak i can return to OEM.

Remember any mod they may be cranky with and give you hell. BUT a mod that can be easily undone such as a intercooler can be easily removed such as wagner ic is a little easier to argue. The can belongs in the questionable stage as its not PNP but is custom.

So basically yes you can have it if they dont have to touch it, no if they have to do anything to remove it or work around it. Yes again if you can make it so easy to remove and put back that a monkey can do it. Mods are a tricky thing when it comes to dealerships.

I bet haha. I plan to get one later and head down the street to Renntech. Like i said the intercooler would be easier to argue if needed since it fits like OEM is PNP and performs better than OEM.

The can serves its purpose and outperforms the OEM system but I havnt gotten it perfect yet haha.
