WTF: Lease/Finance rate decrease to 4.9 on MY'08?

Friend of mine just told me that his CA called to tell him there was a huge decrease in lease and finance rates. I'm not sure what models. Anyone else hear anything?

I've been setting my eyes on an 08 335xi coupe for a while. The salesman called me today and told me similair things. He didn't go in detail but said the lease would save me about $50 - 60 per month or about $3000 if financed. The finance rate comes down about 1 to 2% depends on the model. The MSRP for the options I chosen comes to $61500. If the dealership is still willing to take 7% off the MSRP (which they did last time but I wanted more), I will probably go for it.

the used and leasing market on high end cars is about to crash significantly. Many many cars on leasbusters will be difficult to move, enless people are looking for shorter term leases or take advantage of someone else downpayment on lease.

The decrease prices, finance and lease rates are at incredible levels.

GL with 7% off. Lucky if you get more than 3%. BMW is so tight on MSRP discounts...

Most dealers I spoke to had promotional lease rate for the 3-series, but it EXCLUDED the e92...just make sure your model qualifies. Prior to my purchase (a month ago) it was an astounding 8.9% lease rate for the 335i Coupe I was looking at.

The lease rate for e92 is 6.9% now, for a 3 year lease, according to bmw.ca.

7% off? Which dealer and sales guy? I'll go for it!

Site is back up... still shows 6.9% on the e92 coupes...

3.9% would make for a badass delivery since I'm expecting my car to come in sometime within the next few days!

Both Brian Jessel and Parkshore BMW. About 3 weeks ago, I asked for 7% off the MSRP + 4.9% finacing. They only go as far for the 7% off but wouldn't budge on the rate which was 6.9% for the coupe.

The dealership really can't negotiate on the lease rate since the lease is offered by BMW Financial Services, not the retailer.

Perhaps they rolled in the cash rebate portion...

That's what I was thinking. If the 7% already includes the rebate of $1500, then the rest of the discount is not too far from the 4% off MSRP some have gotten.

But I thought the rebate was only for cash purchases only. Not available with a lease.

Yep, the rebate is for cash purchases only.
