Wink M6 GC vs AUDI RS7

BMW M6 Gran Coupe vs Audi RS7 - Auto Express:

Hope nobody else had shared this before!!
But really liked it especially how NON engaging the Audi RS7 as fast as it is and that M5 is probably as good as M6 GC

Looks like you saw a differend video. Wet surface vs AWD is always a no win situation with real wheel drive. I would go the M6 just for overall looks hands down, and most important the better drive. I would drive the Audi RS5 over the 7 just based on looks alone that rear-end is ugly.

I agree except for the RS5 has the NA engine and I know better sound yet low torque my friend -
But track mannerisms are there for sure per all reviews I had read...

I do love RS5 yet Sun Roof that doesn't open!!! Common!!!
Cheers

Its funny you say that cause I find the rear end very off as well but then I saw three S7's yesterday (2 in white) and the rear is much easier on the eyes in person.

Im still waiting to test drive a non air RS7 to see how it handles. I drove the air suspension version and yes its fast and yes it sounds good but....

Interesting. Yeah that ass has not grown on me; now I love the front but the junk in the trunk yikes.

Same here
Love the front (Just grills and lights) but car front had a lot to it more than just those!! But still one of the best looking fronts but as simple as the M5 can be I still prefer its front.

But rear, RS7 rear is just plain hideous and I attribute this to the car being a Polarizing model rather than being really bad because I see how many people seem to live the rear in particular and actually the car did win some desig awards so I have to respect that too!! Like Acura TL love it or hate it too, I had it and loved the front beak in 2009 when everybody loathed it - and I didn't care so indeed to each his own!!

But thow M5 is ageless model,
Guys i still love the E60 model and looks and enjoy looking at it and it is aging very nicely I would say!

But look at older Audi models!
I am not trying to bash Audi because I had Audi Q7 2007 4.2 Launch model and we loved it and still do 3 years after letting it go!!

And I love S5 and RS5 except for the B pillars and the non functional moon roof!!

My 2 cents

Just saw this S7 I think with a proper drop and wheels the RS7 just "might" get there. 21's sure do look good on the car... hell I might get one

I wonder if there is a rear lip spoiler?

Wheels and only wheels look super nice... That rear is so antisocial - LOL
Lip, doubt it as it has that automatic spoiler that comes up above certain speeds for down force !!

Front is nice
Rear is vice

I figured I get that type of response from you... Your bracket of opinions will always have the M5 winning which is fine cause you are predictable.

As for the rear spoiler I have had a few cars with retractable wings that I added spoilers to...

Either way Im glad Im in a position to even consider this car and then walk away from it if I don't like it after a few months. I will tune the car instantly and it will run 0-60 in about 3 seconds flat. But I need the handling part to make sense so the Dynamic Pack has to be substantial in feel.

I heard air suspension is what holds its performance feel back,
Probably from you... As haven't come across so many people who drove it.. I am talking RS no S as S is more like S6 which I did test drive and liked more than 550i with Dinan stage 2 for sure but nothing close to M5 and same applies to S7...

Me... Predictable?!!! ... oh yeah
I have been called worse than that,
how about?!
"Married with 2 kids too"

I would take Audi S6 over S7 but that's very subjective,
For instance most people like RS6 avant while I can't even stand the idea !!
Subjective and there are reasons why it is not here in USA too -

Good luck if you pull the trigger on it,
But wrong timing dude... I would enjoy M5 or RWD in summer and pull trigger on Audi in winter unless u r in California -

Thanks and in Cali (as you said) it doesn't really matter about timing... weather is why Im here; you just cant buy it.

I know the wagon thing (RS6) is also an acquired taste and one I tried but didn't enjoy for too long... Just not my style:

Boy did this thing pull with a tune...

This thing looks better in black - with the big star in that front grill !
I lived in California in LA for less than a year but I enjoyed every minute of it,

Malibu beach and a few hours drive to Las Vegas, man you are living my dream

That's a badass looking wagon... I really like that engine, there were just some transmission and interior styling cues that weren't my thing when I drove the new one a little while back.

I think that audi is nice looking too... but all the cars coming out in this shape suffer from the same problem for me.. lack of headroom in the rear. As much as I like the exterior looks of the M6GC, CLS63, or the RS7 they all make me think if I cant really get 4 people in it I might as well get 2-door vehicle.

Don't knock the RS6 Avant till you try it; every review I have read classes it as a ballistic missile. Not in the USA for marketing reasons, not for anything else!!! There is no demand in the States for a ballistic estate car, according to official Audi press release. Don't forget there was a time that Audi pulled out of the US market altogether after the 5000S fiasco.

I believe ABT do a small CF lip for the RS7: -

http://www.abt-sportsline.de/en/audi...013/equipment/

I really like the red CF they do for the RS6-R, but that may not be to your taste (that is, the red CF, not the RS6).

And yes - agree that the modified S7 doesn't look bad *at that angle* ... then again, IMHO it does make the E63 wagon look dated - anyhow I'll leave the fickle comments there

And the issue that upsets so many of us is that if Audi made an RS6 sedan and sold it in the US they would sell large quantities of them.

I had a spirited drive with an RS7 just this past weekend. It seemed as if he couldn't keep up. His car was stock and sure did sound nice. Maybe he just wasn't driving it as hard as I was. He was drooling for my car though. My Meisterschaft was hypnotizing him. I love the interior, love the front, don't love the rear. And I am a big fan of that RS6 Avant. I would have one in my driveway for sure if they were available.
