by the time this CTS-V is out, the next gen of M5 will be only about 1 year away from production and the whole follow the leader process starts again.

Garage List
I really can't stand those vertical taillights. They just look cheap to me.

I'm not sure I understand the title of this thread or the first line of the article.

How is this competition? And why should MB and BMW "watch out"? It's a Cadillac.

Anyone take the time to read the comments below?

Not for nothing, but I'm actually worried about the next CTS-V for performance reasons only though. GM engineering will still fall short to the attention to detail of German engineering in many ways, like luxury, comfort, ergonomics and technology.

The CTS-V Sport already weighs like 3,900lbs. Imagine them putting the new Z06 engine in a 3,900 lbs chassis. Not good for us M5 folks.

IDK, the power to weight ratio is already at a threshold. I don't see more power and/or less weight being more fun at this point. The AWD cars already have a distinct advantage and I have no desire for +130MPH blasts (well almost). The CTS-V and M5 need to go AWD for the next gen.

GM is probably more worried about $3mil+ ov vehicles that they are recalling.
CTS-V will probably be on par with E63 AMG in the performance category. The next M will be able to keep up if they offer x-drive and substantial weight savings.

Wait for Hennessey to put out another bad azz ctsv. The ones I've seen at c&c Houston not only sound the part but they rip down the road also. I haven't had time to drive over there since they aren't open on the weekends but as mentioned I see the results first hand. I can't comment to interior wise only aftermarket wise.
