DIY Vinyl Wrap Progress Thread (E90 LCI Satin Pearl White) *updated 3/27--finished

Figured since i'm diying i'll post pics of my progress along the way. Today I had a chance to do the hood and trunk. Trunk was a pain to do and honestly nowhere near my satisfaction. I'm going to try to finish the whole car then see if I have enough material leftover to redo the trunk most likely. Either that or just redo it and hope I have enough material.

First day 3/9/14:

3/12/14:

3/13/14: Too cold to do anything outside on the car so I brought the spoiler in and did the CRT strip white. Tomorrow if it's warm enough i'm going to try and get the two back doors done and possibly engine cover. Maybe gloss black roof this weekend too

3/14/14: Got the two back doors done and decided to do gloss black door handles

3/15/14: Not a lot of time so just tackled a few of the small little bits. Hoping tomorrow I can get a few more stuff done maybe rear bumper and rear quarter panels or front doors

3/16/14: Did the two front doors today and started to prep for the back bumper. This week looks like it's going to be pretty cold so might not be able to get much done but i'm going to try to finish the rear bumper and rear quarter panels by next weekend.

3/17/13: Too cold to work outside so pulled off the side skirts and brought them inside to be wrapped. Got home late so only did one tonight

3/18/13: Finished both sideskirts and put them back on today

3/20/14: Was able to do the back bumper today and install my new diffuser

3/21/14: Going out tonight so only had time for one panel. It's finally starting to come together though and now that I saw it like this i'm really happy I did it

3/22/14: Got the main part of the roof done. Still have to do the shark fin and the roof rails but those should be relatively painless

3/23/14: Finished both front fenders and took off the bumper. Going to try and get the bumper done tomorrow night then put it back on. It was too cold so the vinyl I had for the driver side rear quarter panel ripped so unfortunately I needed to order more. Hopefully that will be here mid this week so I can finish up the car

3/24/14: Did the front bumper today and it was by far the hardest thing i've done. I tried to do it in one piece but we couldn't without it looking awful so we did it with a few seams. It looks fine but if you get really close and inspect it you can see the seams

3/26/14: Finally had time to do the roof rails. Only put one side on since i'm still waiting to do the quarter panel on the other side. If all goes according to plan tomorrow then the car should be done. Plan is to wrap the rear quarter, shark fin, install the roof rail, and then put the front bumper back on. Have a race april 5th but after that i'll be back in full summer mode with the cf splitters on the side and underside splitter

3/27/14: Finally finished tonight. Got the driver side rear quarter panel done since the extra vinyl came in and put the roof rail and front bumper back on. Tomorrow going to finish some little things like taping the spoiler back on and now waiting for some new splitters. Also decided to switch out my blue interior piping strips for white and I might get custom floormats with white borders

Definitely will keep this updated. Problem is the weather... I will only wrap when it's 50 degrees or more outside and it's on and off this time of the year where I live

Great job my friend. This color will work so much better with the wheels. I love space gray but there just wasn't enough contrast with the wheels.

Completely agree. Plus I love that it is unique maybe not on the forum but in person where I live

Subscribed! Please share how you tackled the front bumper, it seems like a really difficult piece to wrap.

The weather lately has more "mood "swings than a girl on the rag.

Looks awesome, always wanted to see an E90 in Pearl White.

You might want to edit your "Dates" tho, unless you travel in time, April is still a month away

I don't have the patience for vinyl on this scale and I love my color + how rare it is. Looking forward to the finished product though. BTW, @psmitty95, wtf happened with COBB on the catback?
