no membership reward rebate for m3 or m4?

Just got my Roundel Weekly newsletter from BMW CCA and it says:

The X4, M4, i3 and i8 models are not included in the rebate program at this time.

And M3 is for e92 only.

At this time? Does that mean they're waiting until you can actually order one?

That would stink, but they rebate always applied to the M models. Probably just waiting until it is actually available.

Please don't take this as official, but I heard BMW is not currently going to give the CCA rebate on the M235i or F8X M3/M4. I suspect this will change within 6 -12 months, after the initial excitement dies down. Always a price to be first (and certainly worth it to some).

I thought the rebate was directly from the club and had nothing to do with BMW.

Nope it's from BMW. The CCA just provides them the info.

Dammit BMW for taking away the only (and tiny) discount most of us would have received.

Looks like the F80/F82 are not going to receive the rebate and it doesn't look temporary the way they have it noted on the rebate form. Although at the bottom they note X4, M4. i3, i8 as temporary, but why go to the trouble to tweak the form only to include them a couple of months later?
Even the M235i has been clearly excluded:

I find it interesting that relatively few M3/4's are being produced, but are being sold at MSRP without even the slightest decrease in price from BMW or the dealerships for loyal multi-purchase BMW customers. And for those willing to pay the MSRP, BMW won't give the CCA rebate. You think that for their loyal BMW family that they would at the minimum give the rebate. Obvioulsy they can afford the $500 if they are producing relatively M3/4's at MSRP price. Yes, I know its business but at least give some consideration to your loyal followers.

Thanks for the heads up because I was counting that chicken before it hatched!

I'm I bothered about it? Yes. Am I surprised? No.
