Paddle shifters SUCK
Because of a "supply" issue, paddle shifters were not available on the '07 335xi introduced mid-MY. Boy am I glad because they clearly SUCK. So I almost puked today when I saw these ugly and useless steering wheel clip-ons on both the '08 335xi coupe and sedan floor models while getting my SW update. Ewwww
Does anyone else think these boy game toy joy sticks suck? Please post here. e9xer's who love them or think they're "cool" we don't need to hear from you. You can go shift your paddles or something, because I'm not bitter - nosiree Bob. |

The problem isn't with the paddle shifters, its with the automatic transmission.
So, how exactly do you know that they suck if you've never used them? I guess you really didn't like the look of them.

If the auto trans and paddle shifters were any better it would be a sin.

They are awesome on the track! It's an advantage while tracking... don't need effort to shift using paddles.

hmmm sounds like someone didn't get their candy :sad0147: the paddle shifters are one of the reasons why I got the steptronic instead of the manual.. IMO they are great but yes, I wish they would have made it like the E46 M3 paddle shifters, but then again I love that I can shift up/down and drive at the same time with using only one hand... but whatever, everyone is entitled to their wrong opinion have fun with you're new car

I guess you want everyone to feel pity for you since you did not get them.. and you want to feel better about yourself.. making it seem like it was the right choice.. thats what your looking for right?? feedback? assurance? I call that lame.

Fellas, I'm pretty sure the OP is being sarcastic.
I pick up next week.... I was pleasantly surprised that they had them available on the 328 E93!

I agree that the paddles can be prettier like the SMG paddles but they don't look too shabby as they stand right now. After I finish with my current projects on the car (an anthracite Alcantara headliner), I'll tackle the sport steering wheel retrofit with paddles and see if they'd work on our cars.
