XDF File

I've unfortunately started a lot of these threads but still can't get a clear understanding.

I have my factory bin saved. I open tuner pro and choose my bin file then choose the vishnu xdf file for my dme. Now that both of them are open I see all the tables on the left.

Did the XDF file attached to my factory bin change the values based the xdf vishnu file? Or did the vishnu xdf just allow me to view my current bin values?

I'm just not sure how to change my bin data based on all these xdf files flying around. I've tried reading but not sure how to change my bin?

Thanks

You need to apply the xdf to the bin. Click on the very last definition on the left. It will have the xdf file name, then click apply patch and then save everything

So I tried updating my bin file with the process fuel flash and when I press validate file on the bb flash it says the file is invalid. But if I try verifying one of terrys vin files it will be valid. Any suggestions or ideas?

The xdf doesn't patch anything. It's just the tables in relationship to the bin loaded. Shiv has provided patching data in some of the more common xdf files, but that's not the technical function of the xdf.
