Running a E85/93 Mix?
I have a 2007 E92 335 with only 36K miles. I am FBO with a Procede Rev 3 on auto maps right now. Very happy with the power but like most people, I always want more. I see a lot of people running e85 mixes and I would much rather do that personally than a meth set up. That being said I know e85 requires more from the fuel lines and pumps and you need to have a pretty healthy system or need to upgrade. If I were to get started on a mix, where should I start? What percentage? Do I need to get a e85 map for my procede or can i run the auto map? I have been trying to find as much info on this but I figure I would ask and see what you guys think. Thank you for your time.

Try out 25% to start on an auto tuning map. If your car likes it and your logs look okay keep upping the e85. Be patient and run through a full tank at 25%, then at 30-35%, then at 40-45% etc. I wouldn't run more then 50% without an upgraded pump.

I'm up to E40 with a 50/50 mix of E70 and 92pump on my 07 with 30K miles.
It's holding the power but my LPFP and HPFP are getting to their limits from what I'm seeing in the logs. I'm going to stay away from meth as much as I can as well. |
