Car been off battery for 6++ months
I been doing upgrades on my car , full service to the engine , new injectors , vanos solenoids , waterpump , thermostat , lp fuel sensor , various gaskets ...
Anyway , the car was left during winter and first now I start to put it all together. My concern is , when battery has been off that long , what surprises can I see when I hook it back up ? Anything I can fix with my trustworthy INPA?

I had my original battery (2007) out of the car for 18+ months when I had a lightweight battery. I probably only charged it twice during that time. I got rid of the lightweight battery, put the original back in and it has been fine the last couple of years and is now 7 years old. The key may have been that it was stored in a garage that always stays between 55-75 F. Not sure.
Went to getbmwparts today to do local pickup of a new bmw battery so I have no let downs this year. 7 years is pretty good from original battery. |

I'm pretty sure he means the car had the battery disconnected for many months, will the car throw any codes or have an issues from not having a battery attached to it for do long.

It really makes no difference how long the battery is disconnected - if it is disconnected for an hour or a year, there is no power in the car and anything that needed power to remember it's settings, will forget them. Otherwise, it should have no effect, put it back on and reset the clock and reset the auto windows and sunroof and should be good.
