HELP! Did the Drive Duty Cycle but still not ALL READY
The Engine Service Soon light was reset yesterday by dealer after repairs along with BMS DP fix.
So, I drove 250 miles today including the Drive cycle procedure: BUT I have still have these codes: 2AIR N/A A /C N/A EGR N/A MIL OFF HCM N/A EVAPORATE not ready This is from OBDII port scanner. Did I do the procedure incorrectly? Any tips or helpful hints for following the drive cycle? I have to get MASS EMISSIONS INSPECTION STICKER ASAP! Thanks! |

I will run the idle for 2 minutes tomorrow morning. So the N/A not applicable, can be ignored? Also, there is no light. For my OBD, it say DTC no codes. I/M : NO What about the MIL off? Concern? |

So OFF on that should be good. I would take it in if you get the evap to show ready. Worst case the mechanic will tell you to drive around for a bit and come back.

repeat the drive cycle.. may take 2 cycles for all monitors to clear. you shouldn't need 250 miles just a few cycles.. i would space out the cycles over a few days since you need a cold engine inbetween cycles.

EVAP takes the longest, I think it's the part of the drive cycle where you have to sit idle for a long time. But most places let you have 1 or 2 monitors not ready. In GA, we get 2 not ready. I got tired of trying to get the EVAP ready and just tested it with it not set, I passed since all other monitors were ready. MA may be different.
