*** Bad Trader Alert -- norcalEastbay 328i ***

Greetings...

Over a month ago I made an agreement with norcalEastbay328i to purchase his 157 style wheels for $1,000 at which time I sent him a $100 deposit through PayPal.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...&highlight=157

Subsequently, he agreed to deliver them to my house (he lives about an hour away) a bit over a week later.

He never delivered the wheels or contacted me.

Now, it's been over a month and he will not respond to me or return my deposit. I tried contacting him through here, in posts, and through Paypal without any response. I even have a Paypal resolution judgement against him.

Beware!!

To the OP, did you pay with a credit card? The only thing to do now is try to file a dispute. I'm sorry that this happened to you. If you pay with Paypal..see if you can get his address and pay him a visit..

If he was in SoCal, then I would definitely be down. NorCal is too far away. We could've been the justice squad.

Most likely, he deleted his original thread and started fresh. I've considered doing the same once or twice.

how would the seller agree to deliver them w/ just a $100 deposit? is COD agreed upon? next time, i'd at least get his phone #, so if anything happens, i have a contact # to file against. anyway, good luck w/ the refund.

Sorry to hear that man! This is the reason why I am skeptical sometimes, about purchasing things on this forum from members.

Here's what I usually do before I purchase from a member here.

A good thing to look for is their feedback. Especially if they have sold or bought from this forum. And also how active they are on this forum and if anybody reputable will be able to vouche for them. If any seller meets these requirements of mine, then I will definitely buy from them.

GL!

Hope paypal will issue you a refund.

lol! That's because this is a brand new thread. I just saw the exact same thread in the Wheels and Tires for Sale section, where you posted the following.

So, nobody deleted your post, it's just that the OP created 2 different threads in 2 different sections.

If he lives about a hour away, theres no way to find out where he lives? I'd just go overthere and take whats mine.

Just file a disput with Paypal. Usually they lock the other persons account and everything. Also makes the person have to call paypal and send paperwork and such.

Going to the guys house will solve nothing especially nowadays. Plus in California you guys have such high gas prices driving there and back would waste even more money.

when sending a payment with paypal ALWAYS make the seller bill you on paypal. for example, when i buy something i tell the seller to bill me through paypal with something like this below, be very specific, i just tell him to read it and if he agrees copy and paste it on the bill and go ahead and bill me:

This bill is for a brand new unopened US version 40GB PS3. The item is guarenteed in stock ready to be shipped and fully functional upon delivery. The item will be shipped once payment is recieved within 48 hours and a tracking number will be provided upon shipment.

so if a person were to scam you, you simply file a claim with paypal and specify in the bill that there was supposed to be a tracking number once the item is shipped within 48 hours of payment. paypal will then ask the seller to reply with a tracking number by sending him an e-mail while having a case open. if he fails to comply, they will refund your payment.

i have been scammed at first too when i started using paypal on digital items as those were easy and not covered uner paypal terms. sad to say i too took advantage of this at some point myself buying digital items and getting a refund from seller failing to prove item was shipped. and when you tell paypal item is digital like through e-mail they highly give you a refund.

gl with everything. paypal can be a real bitch sometimes.

dispute it with paypal asap.

i hope you used a credit card to fund the transaction and not your bank account. if you used a credit card, call up the cc company if paypal does not do anything.

good luck!
