I think my BMS drop in is finally broken in!

Used to get boost leak 30FF when drop in filter was new. Stopped happening recently. Checked filter and it finally was soft and pliable enough to make a complete air tight seal where as before it was too rigid and hard. Also cleaned mounting area around box lid. Motor holds boost like a champ now! No fluctuation at all.

Can anyone relate to this or confirm my theory??

You can't have a boost leak pre turbo. All you would get with a bad seal is unfiltered air into the turbos instead of BMS filtered air.

Do they sell that in cans or bottles. Druidia still makes my favorite brand.

As pointed out above, it is not possible for an air filter to have any bearing on a vacuum leak.

I drive says underboost. I suppose that makes sense considering the DCIs have no seal. Was just thinking out loud, can't think of any other reason why my boost started holding steady and not fluctuating. The search continues

you can run no intake(s) at all and never get a code... no maf/metering.. detection of leaks.. etc. --- so your boost-leak issues are 100% unrelated.

You guys can berate me all you want but I was at the track and on my final run I ran into a 30ff code / underboost. I took it into the shop and they did a leak test and there was a small one from one of my intakes. I have the injen dci and when I installed them I didn't tighten them enough as I should of on the opposite end of the cones. They tightened everything up and I never ran into the code again.

You may have underboosted but you did not have a boost leak from a loose filter. There is NO BOOST (positive pressure) before air goes into the turbo and gets compressed. You realize a properly sealed filter is MORE restrictive then one that's leaking air around the sides. If the air was clean your engine would like that better.
