+1! I hate that none of the dealers I talk to really know what is up.. My SA freely admits that I am much more informed than he is.

As I type this, the ONLY modifiable M3/M4 in the US are the dealer launch cars aka HEA cars. People on the forum who have received a production # means that whatever dealer they are working with, offered to sell them their HEA car. Every M3/M4 put in to the order bank will show up as 047-Status, which means no production slot available. This is true because allocations slots have not been divided yet amongst dealers. Furthermore, no dealer can mark the 047-Status cars for European Delivery until allocation have been given out by BMW AG/BMW USA or else they will be deleted in the order bank if marked for European Delivery.

Correct my dealer told me that the order was in the bank they gave me a copy and the Status showing is 047- Spec. Released no quota aval. Whatever that means.

047-Spec means that an order has been submitted to BMW AG but that dealer does not have an allocation spot to fill it. So it will sit in 047 until that dealer gets an allocation from BMW AG to fill it. So EVERYBODY who is putting in a order will be in 047 because NO DEALER has received their allocations yet. UNLESS you are getting that dealer's HEA launch car, in which you should have a Production # by now in 111/112 Status

Thank You for the explanation, I told them that I want ED.

That is fine but they can not mark it ED aka Tourist in the order bank until your dealer gets an allocation. So for now, it has to sit in the order bank as 047 - Priority 1. Once your dealer gets the allocation to fill your order, they then can change it from Priority 1 to Tourist for ED. If they do it now, BMW AG will delete your order.

And just for clarification. The next phase after 047 is 111, which means you got an allocation slot and will have a production #. Next step after that is 112 which means it's scheduled for production and about to go in to production. 112 status is the last phase before you can make any changes to your order (color, options, equipment, etc) because after 112 is 150, which means production has started and no further changes can be made.

My dealer has received their allocations. I saw their allocation numbers for the M3 and M4 on Monday.

Let me know what dealer and I can check on the dealer portal to see if this is true.

Congrats, the excitement must be building. I won't be getting mine until around September (currently 047 status as described on this thread)

That thing's fully loaded, can't see brakes though. Did you add CCBs or is the only thing you skipped?

Mine is listed as 111 because it is a military order and will not count against my dealer's allocation.

I only skipped CCB, DCT, parking assist, and concierge. See the full order sheet

The dealer is only the intermediary, filling out the final paperwork. Ordering and financing is done via a military order company (in my case located in Bahrain). As soon as VIN is created, I have to finalize financing within a week or so, otherwise the order is cancelled and I lose my deposit.

I assume we are talking only about M4's right now since that is what I searched. Peter Pan has one M4 (Black Sapphire - Black Extended Leather - Exec Pkg - Lighting Pkg - DCT - Adaptive M Suspension - 19" 437 Silver Wheels - CF Trim - Side/Top View Camera - HarKar Sound) in 112 Status marked as Priority 1. This is likely a HEA Launch car unless Peter Pan sold it to a customer already. I see no other available allocations.

Interesting. Well we'll see. I saw the printout that showed how many of each car will be allotted for CY2014 and was told the M3/M4 allocation had just been given last Friday.
