ECS boost gauge
I just installed the ECS boost gauge. I followed the instructions to a T. Now I am not sure if this is normal or not but it never gets above 0 ever. It sits at idle roughly at 20 vacuum. When I give it throttle it gets close to 0 or a little over. I have called ECS twice asking if this is normal or am I supposed to dial the gauge in or if it comes dialed in. I have checked all the tubes for bends and breaks but they all look fine. Is it possible I didn't hook it up to the correct tubes under the hood? I connected the gauge line to the main line after the T connecting the two diverter valves by the air intake. Has anyone had this problem before? Thank you for any help.

Yes. I have driven to the car wash and to get gas. I wasn't flooring it but it is consistently going up and back down. Maybe I should take it in for a boost check. It drives fine. Should it drive awful with no boost?

It would, You would get an underboost code too.. That's really weird.. Where are you hooking the vacuum line up to? What did ECS say?

There are two Diverter valves with two tubes coming off and those two are Y'ed together. Then that's where I put my T after the factory Y. But mine should get above 0 on the boost side right? Or does it take time to make that much boost for the gauge to read it?

Yeah. The moisture filter is in the dash. I thought that it might be kinked under the dash. I checked one of the lines and there is a lot of vacuum one that line.

I did not install it on mine, I'm not sure if its a 2 way or one way filter. Maybe
it needs to be flipped to the other side . Don't know if it makes sense? Or try bypassing the filter |

Stand on the thing like you mean it and pay attention to the boost gauge; floor it and stay floored for a while. I have the same gauge, if youre reading ~-20hg at idle seems like it's at least accurate on that end. You could always pull the tube and actually blow on it to test, you should be able to get a couple of psi.

I took off the filter and I have seen it go up to 5!! So maybe the filter is the problem or I just didn't give it enough gas to make it work.

The 20inhg is your vacuum pressure reading in inches of mercury. It should never read 0 unless it's installed incorrectly.
