Wait to do HPFP recall?
Anyone else still on their original HPFP that are holding off doing this recall until they get closer to the expiry? Mines an '07 and I'm a believer in "if it ain't broke...." + I hate the thought of the dealership working on my car.

Sounds about right. Mine is a couple months shy of 7 years old and I have never had a single problem with it. I'm going to let it ride. Feel the same way about letting a random tech work on the car.

I haven't had any problems yet, but it's seeming like it's not IF it goes bad, but WHEN :/

This would be my concern that I replace the original and then the replacement ends up going...gonna wait as long as possible Why would mods have to come off to get it done?

mods shouldnt have to come off as its a BMW known issue and a recall due to it so should be replaced as is however i can imagine its all on how your dealer feels about mods

I just brought mine in to get this done and am picking it up today. Worked out good for me. They found that i had a small oil leak from the oil filter housing gasket. They offered to fix it for 800, but im gona pass on that one. Time to find a good diy or a cheap bimmer mech

Epic fail.... Lady told me that only recall work done was the battery connectors and that there were no open recalls. So I asked what warranty work has been done and after 15 min and 5 people later I get someone on the phone that told me they can't go over that over the phone I need to go with my id for confidentiality.....

So who's over 70k and still on there stock hpfp and lpfp. I'm at 74k and didn't see anything changed on my car besides the engine valve gasket and my battery. I do get a long crank every once in a while but logged my pumps and there still where they need to be. I know it could also be a leaky injector but until it misfires I won't know which one.
