Front Bumper Hit Parking Curb!
Hi All,
My wife just showed me the damage she caused after hitting a parking curb today and its not a pretty sight! She managed to actually crack the center of the lower lip. I imagine I'll need to replace the bumper altogether and not just repaint. Aside from going to my local dealer for the fix; any advice for getting this fixed? Thanks... |

Ouch...... Getting it fixed is probably not the ideal situation. I'd say time for a new bumper, maybe the M-Tech kit?

Maybe you can put a front lip on top to hide the crack.

I assume you're trying to avoid Inskip?
I'll ask around and see what's the best around here for an E90...in the meantime, keep her far away from the car, lol.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have looked at the aftermarket lips and bumpers. I was surprised to see that the lips cost just as much as a new bumper ~$300 and are a little too agressive looking for my taste (not to mention lower to the ground which, as you can imagine, I'm a bit afraid of). I do like the OEM "M" style bumper.

Do you have some Inskip horror stories? Normally I wouldn't consider them but they did do a good job on my neighbors e90 rear bumper.

I haven't heard anything bad about them other than every time I ask them how much something will be, it's about 2-3 times as expensive as anywhere else. The funny thing is, it's cheaper for me to get parts from other dealerships and have them shipped to me than to get them from Inskip.
