COBB Pro-Tuning - ROM Update Required?
I am in the process of working through my first Pro-Tune and the tuner has asked if there is any way that I can have my ROM updated; something to do with Engine Logic (which I am unsure of exactly what that is). Is this a totally necessary job and, what benefits would I get from doing it? I don't doubt what the tuner says, I just want to learn a little more about it.
I have a 2008 car with I860S and I believe that if I was to update the ROM at a dealer this would raise it to the latest version, I8A0S, right? Problem is, the dealer wants many $$$$ to do this as you might imagine. Are there any other ways to update the ROM if this is required, avoiding robbery by BMW? |

Pm Wedge performance.
He provided the steps for me to update from I860s to I8A0s. Relatively easy process, crucial part would be seting up the software and cable properly. |
