FS: RB Turbos N54 (Arcadia)

Hi All,

My RB Turbos are for sale!

These turbos had been shipped back to RB for inspection and rebuild this past month (with the paperwork), meaning they're in like-new condition.

I purchased these units last March, so you will still be covered under warranty for at least a month if anything goes wrong (which I highly doubt).

I'm selling it for $2200. Please note that I will need your core or an additional $300 deposit.

Local pickup only in Arcadia at European Motor Works.

You would still need to purchase the installation gasket kit separately.

Thanks,
John

If you're asking about the warranty, yes it's only for a year.

There's plenty of 335s with RB's out there that are a few years old at least. Asides from that I haven't really heard of any horror stories with RB's.

Ok, thanks. I wasn't trolling btw. I was curious because you had them rebuilt after only a year. I assumed something was worn warranting the need for a rebuild.

Short story is I had an engine head gasket oil leak that was incorrectly attributed to bad seals on the RB Turbos by the dealership, where I sent it back to Rob for an inspection and rebuild.

Rob took the turbos apart, inspected it and said it looked good, but still rebuilt it nonetheless. Which is part of the process of how I found out I had an engine head gasket leak.

On a side note, I'm waiting on EMW to install my new VAC stage 3 cylinder head (the very first VAC N54 stage 3 head with Ferrea part upgrades). Decided to upgrade that when I decided to get the head gasket leak repaired. The head just arrived this Monday, can't wait.

I'm also moving on to VTT S2B2 Turbos from my RB's. Even though my very first set of VTT S2B2 came defective (rear turbo was leaking oil right after the install). I was not happy about this, but at least Tony warrantied it in a week. Then I figured, I might as well do the head gasket repair, cylinder head upgrade at the same time, since the labor for that covers the labor for the turbo install.

Anyways, my short story turned out not so short.

So again, the RB's didn't give me any problems. They're in like-new condition, fully inspected and rebuilt. I'm not here to sell some defective product, not something I want to put people through.
I don't check the forums everyday, so PM would probably be the best if you're interested.
