My car won't start!!!!

I have a 2007 e90. I tried starting my car this morning but it doesn't start. My navi turns on and I can hear my radio but the car doesn't start up. I tried jumping it but it didn't work. Then I tried starting it again and my navi said the battery was really low. I charged it for a while now and it still does that turn on. Do I need a brand new battery?

Bring the battery in to get tested... Does the car attempt to crank? Does it make a sound? Can you be a little more descriptive than "my radio turns on" please.

I would start with this. Take your battery to get tested.

It doesn't attempt to crank. It doesn't make any sound.

Well id take the battery to get tested first. If it's not that then I would bring it to the dealer or Indy shop depending if it's still Under warranty or not.

Most likely it's the battery right? I tried changing the car up using another car. Still doesn't start. No crank noise either. I'm assuming the battery is just super dead? I also heard there was a recall on the charging cables. Not sure if that was true or not

There is a recall on the cables for certain models. When I had my 07 e92 I inquired about this but I did not have the recall for my car.

I would call BMW and see if you have the open recall. Like others have said, have the battery tested.

If all of your electronics are working well then the battery sounds like it would have some life in it and would probably start with a jump. Maybe the starter?

Did you have any symptoms before this suddenly happened? Long cranks or anything like that?

Definitely a starter issue if its not trying to crank when you have another car hooked and all the electronics are working.

Portable battery jumpers often don't have enough juice to start a car, especially if you haven't kept it on AC to keep it charged.

If you haven't done anything else already, you should call a tow company and ask them to try to jump it w/their truck. If the engine turns over and starts, the problem is "just" the battery which needs to be charged or replaced. If the engine still doesn't turn over (or turns over and doesn't start), the problem is probably with the battery and "something else" (not necessarily the starter) and you need to tow the car to a shop to get the problem analyzed and fixed.

Good luck!
