half engine light pass 4k rpm

When i try to get on it and the car gets pass 4000 rpm the half engine light shows up, but the car drives perfectly fine. When i restart the car the half engine light disappears and doesnt come back unless i go past 4k rpms When i try to read the codes no codes shows up about it except i do have 4 codes from the catless dps. Could that be why?
this is what the obd reader showed

We would be guessing with the information provided. You don't have a way to read codes?

Does it feel like you are hitting full boost?

Boost lead will definitely make it feel slower. When I had one the symptoms were similar to yours. Do a WOT pull and see if you get thrown back into your seat like you normally do.

I just updated with all the codes its showing, but no misfire codes or boost leak codes. Could catless dps give me a half engine light when i step on it?

No. They wouldn't cause it.

I don't think they did. I was about to get new turbos but at the last minute bmw declined it. The dealer did do a horrible job puting my dps back on tho. I had to take it to a exhaust shop to get it readjusted

If they were swapped shouldnt the car be running like sh*t. It runs perfectly fine just when I get on it I get a half engine light. But no loss in power at all. I did what you told me and it seems I'm building boost just fine. Do y'all think the dps could be causing the half engine light?

Is your car leaking? Because I have a 07 AT with 73000 miles and had to replace the mechatronic sleeve and did the transmissions fluid as well but after that I am able to past 4k rpm without the half engine light. Where as before I had the same issue even when the car was fully warmed and everything.

Old thread but, the same that happened to OP happened to me. It ended up being a cracked stock charge pipe.

I still haven't gotten it fixed yet lol. But whenever I try to read the code there is no code. Did the same thing happen to you?

Please! Does anyone have a solution for this issue? OP, did you ever get this fixed? I just took my car to Autozone --- they couldn't find any fault codes. I also had my ODB2 (Bluetooth) w/ Torque application and it could find no fault codes either. What should I do? I don't want to have to take my car to the stealership, but I am quickly running out of options.

I am having the EXACT same problem as the OP and others on this thread. Any help would be appreciated!

I still have this problem.
It seems to happen only once in a while under certain throttle positions in certain gears.

It all started when I installed my JB4 in January of this year.

Im FBO ( NO meth/ stock turbos)
I did get an walbro 450 e85 compatible LPFP and changed the boost control solenoids.
Good thing is my boost oscillation seems to have gone away, but I still got the yellow half engine at aound 4k rpm. (randomly)

Im starting to think it may be a software issue , or my waste gate actuators arent operating like the should, or possibly a small leak in a vacuum hose.

Ive got a new HPFP ill install while I walnut blast the intake. After that the only other thing I could think to do is upgrade to RB turbos...
But thats a big investment.

If I find anything Ill post more.
