excessive carbon exhaust in back of car? (pics)
Been dealing with this for about 5 months now I wash my car then the next two days my back bumper and trunk is full of black carbon coming from the exhaust. Could it be leaky injectors causing this? I also have catless downpipes and muffler delete and still have my oem secondaries in place. It looks worst in person, Anyone else having this same issue?

As soon as I got catless Dp's I have more carbon buildup on my tips that is tough to get off if I let it sit to long. My car is black though so I don't see it on the paint.

Catless downpipes will do that.

Yeah its surprising how much gunk comes out of the pipes at times, which makes you wonder if the cats were collecting all this crap imagine how choked up they must get hence a reduction in power.
Pretty sure this is normal dude, but the weird thing is i only noticed it when i initially installed my BMW PE, with the oem mufflers and catless pipes it was fine. Also sometime its worse then others |

I would Imagine it has a little to do with the carbon build up in the cylinder head too?
I have a full stock DP and mufflers, and plenty of crud accumulates on my bumper. |

It's the catless DP's, I had the same issue. But even with OEM DP's, you'll get the soot on the bumper, it just takes longer. I put the OEM's back on the pass emissions and even with the stock cats, the bumper still gets dirty, just more slowly. Probably because of the tune.
