hello everyone,
as i am new to the forums (stalking the forum for about a year) i do not have access to make a new thread. i plan on purchasing a M4 but am curious on how to go about ordering through ED. what is the cost advantages of ordering ED? do they setup the trip (Hotel/flight/tourist passes) do i set up the shipment of vehicle once trip is complete? any help on this would really be appreciated. thank you! |

thanks for the quick response, so i have to set up hotel and flight?
ive read in other posts that they situate your vehicle to be able to be driven throughout the country. so that should not be an issue. just want to kinda get a plan situated to see if cost wise if it makes sense to make a trip out of it. |

do they assist you in making your hotel arrangements, giving you recommendations, places to visit or anything? or do they literally only worry about the car itself and your 1-2days at the welt.
reason i ask, is i am building this around a trip to have a "bond experience with my father" so id like to have it set up properly, i have never gone to germany nor planned something as extensive as this vacation. |

If it's the latter, you kinda got screwed. To better explain what I mean -- though I realize M4s are coming out of dealer allocations year 1, they won't be after that. Therefore you should never pay more than say, $1000 or so over ED -INVOICE- price, paying ED MSRP is just as bad as paying US MSRP (and you wouldn't do that, right?). Even with an allocation, I'd still hunt around in the coming months for other dealers who would be willing to negotiate on the ED MSRP (even if you pay say $2500 more than invoice, that wouldn't be too bad for a brand new model). My own 2013 M3 came out of my dealer's allocation because it was so late in the game when I bought it that they'd stopped doing the "allocation-free" EDs on them. I still only paid $1000 over ED invoice, allocation and all, so it can be done if you're persistent and know your stuff when you go to the dealer (I spent a while calling my CA a liar the first day when he told me ED was always MSRP, for example) -- 40 minutes later I had a callback and my offer accepted. While BMWConfig.com doesn't yet have M4 invoice info -- you can get a pretty close estimate by subtracting 7% from the ED MSRP (including options) -- add some amount to that, and make your offers to the dealers.
