Chicago Autoshow
I had a chance to sit in the i8 at the Chicago Autoshow. The interior is clean a la BMW and ingress is tough since the CF tub requires high stepping into the car. The legroom in the back is very small, maybe like 911. There is virtually no trunk space in the trunk. The key was not the fancy key with LED screen but a regular FOB, a bit bulkier. The doors are very light.
After seeing it in person the wait is going to be even worse for me now....they were not sure if or when Laser lights will become an option here in the US. |

Dude congrats, glad to see they let some people sit in the car now. I saw that same Crystal White i8 in December, on 3 separate occasions, and sitting in the car was out of the question.
Laser lights aren't approved in the US so it's more likely we will not get them at this juncture. Also the key fob has been confirmed to be the LED phone looking key. The key that is being used for that i8 is a temporary key. Yeah the wait isn't easy! |
