Loss of power e92
Getting on the freeway yesterday I gave it full throttle in lower band of 2nd gear and the dreaded "service engine soon" light came on. I immediately felt a vibration and a severe loss of power. I'm not a mechanic but it felt as the engine was misfiring in a cylinder. I called my mechanic and he said it may be the high pressure fuel pump or something else but said if it was the fuel pump it would be under warranty. My baby has just over 46k miles and it's an 07' e92. Has anyone shared this experience? Is there a recall on a part that may be the root of this?

Stock or modified?
We would all just be guessing here without the actual codes. -Spark Plugs -Coil Packs -Fuek Pump At near 50K you are also due for an intake valve cleaning too. |

Lookup codes.
Probably a misfire, figure out which cylinder. Start with replacing all plugs, swap misfire cylinders coil with another cylinder and see if misfire follows/continues. Will take no more than 30 min to do all of this. |

Sounds like your car went into limp home mode. Certainly possible that's it's the HPFP, but it's just a guess until someone pulls the codes.
FWIW, you may want to check that the charge pipe didn't crack/become detached from the throttle body. Neil |
