Watch out for Soursamo

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Watch out for Soursamo. I ordered air bags from him and they never came. He never sent me the receipt to prove that he even sent them. He is from BC Canada and drives the Gray e90 with a big ricer wing on it with license plate number 157 SAL. He will talk to you like he is working with you but then leaves you hanging. He told me he would refund me but never did.

Just saying watch out

That's why you should never pay for anything via PayPal gift and I hope that you didn't otherwise you are screwed. Let’s this be the lesson for all of us.

How are normal transactions done on this site if you have things shipped from a individual?? Had my eye on some goodies myself

As mentioned, do not use PayPal gift. PayPal regular is just fine though.

As with any potential transaction, look at a number of things--post count if the buyer/seller, _any_ red flags throughout, etc. If you have a lingering question, don't be afraid to ask, whether it be more or better pics or something to help you toward a decision.

Once you strike a deal, be sure that you request/receive tracking information very soon, within a day or two. If not forthcoming or a reasonable explanation instead, you should be suspicious. Give a reasonable amount of time for resolution. If a scam is suspected, don't hesitate to alert PayPal and, possibly, the backing credit card company.

Hope this helps

Yep, no paypal gift for sure. My paypal gift lesson cost me $3500 a couple of years ago. Can't wait to find the guy.

Wouldn't expect someone with that many posts and positive feedbacks to be a scammer :/

That's what happened to me. Dude had a pretty good reputation, and I'd done large transactions with him in the past. Now, I'll never send gift, with very few exceptions.

This is why I use paypal regular 99% of the time unless it's for something under $10.

People always try to haggle the fees but 2.9% for security is better than nothing.

I didn't use paypal gift. He just kept me going until I was out of range to report a claim with PayPal

Screw Paypal - all you have to do is file a dispute with your credit card company that you used on PayPal (did you use a credit card or pay with PP balance in your account?)

A few of us got ripped off last year on here by the 'polish prince' - I didn't even go thru PayPal - called my CC company, disputed the charge for non receipt of items, gave them some brief info, and Bam! 1 week later the $$ was refunded back to my CC...

Even if you did report him to admins - most that would ever happen is he get banned (if that) - then all he needs to do is sign up with different name & start all over

Also, be sure to give a negative iTrader rating - so another buyer, not seeing your post, will know.
