Penfed financing on ED?

This may get more views than in the other thread, but does Penfed do financing for an ED vehicle? Anyone have any experience?

This may or may not help you, no guarantees, just my experience. I am active duty military stationed in the UK, and while I'm not doing a true ED, as in not going to Germany to pick my car up, but rather having it sent to England (and yes it will be US spec), penfed will still finance me. I was already pre-approved by them. The last thing they need from me before they will cut the check is the "collateral information," basically the VIN and I can't get that until it's close to or if not done with production. Their website, while applying online didn't even list the 2 series on it when I applied. I'm not sure if this has changed. I'm assuming since they will finance me over here, you should have no problems getting finance for a ED.

The bank doesn't care that some of that check could be used for a flight. They only care that the car is worth equal to or more than the check they will cut, and this is easily the case with the ED option, especially with any sort of down payment. Hope this helped, sorry if it's a ramble.

I don't think you can finance or lease outside of BMW Financial Services for ED

Lease, no.

Finance, of course you can. There is nothing special about ED or any stipulation that you must finance it through anybody specific. When a bank provides you a new car auto loan, they pay the full amount to BMWFS for the car and your bank will now hold the title. To BMW it's the same as if you paid cash for the car since you pay them with a check directly from your bank.
